I’ve been on hiatus from blogging.
I’m not sure why exactly. But when my husband and I found out back in February that we were pregnant [Insert happy and scared emojis here!], it seemed like that was the only thing I could focus on. I’ve always been terrible at multitasking; and since I have never been pregnant before, all of the changes and excitement occupied the majority of my time. Plus, my sister went back to work, and my love was working, so my photographers were MIA as well.
Could I come up with any more excuses?
Let’s see… In the first trimester, I didn’t feel comfortable in much of anything. I felt fat but not like I could sport this cute baby bump to make up for it. I was tired, like the I-wish-I-could-trip-and-fall-and-not-get-up, tired. I ate everything and my boobs hurt – a lovely combo, let me tell ya! I was just trying to make it through the day, let alone dress up, take pictures, edit pictures, and type up my thoughts. I could barely think. Thank God I didn’t have to add morning sickness to that list.
But now I am in the glorious second trimester, sporting a bump to make up for the extra cellulite that has formed on the front – yes I said front – of my thighs, and the fact that I feel like I will never fit into a pair of jeans with an actual button. I couldn’t be happier. Seriously, the second trimester is quite wonderful. I have no complaints, and I wish I could keep this little bump forever. It sure makes it easy to eat a large meal and not have to suck in afterwards. Silver lining, people!
Anyways, I will attempt to blog some preggo fashion for those who will be pregnant, are pregnant, or are just having one of those days that they need some outfit inspiration to accommodate a swollen belly. Just kidding; you could wear this stuff without growing a baby too!
This look is from the first 8-12 weeks of my pregnancy – I can’t remember which week, but fairly early. I didn’t have a bump just yet, but my rack had grown an extra cup size and I was fighting fatigue. With the weather warming up, Brandon and I met my sister and her husband at a local city block party event and enjoyed some Spring/Summer fun.
The open back is my favorite part of this blouse. It keeps you cool but doesn’t make you feel exposed; unless the wind picks up and then your husband has to walk behind you holding the flaps closed…
Brandon was having a good time perfecting his portraiture.
And then he kept making me laugh. 🙂

So, there is my first post in the past 5 or 6 months. Now let’s hope I don’t get distracted by something new and shiny and run off again.
My next one will be a conglomeration of outfits I’ve worn throughout my second trimester; most of which, are mirror selfies. That’s what happens when you’re photographers are busy! I need to get these people working again because mirror selfies are just not cutting it! Anyways, I will also be answering some first-time preggo questions as well.
Love and Light and Positivity!
