You ever buy something that you love in the store but it seems to sit in the back of your closet?! I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been there! That’s when the frugally creative side of me tells myself that I can’t let those pieces go to waste, so I challenge myself to wear them in new ways. Hence this white, lace skirt – which is actually a white, lace tube dress! I know having a convertible dress that can be worn as a skirt is nothing new, but it still expands my wardrobe without much effort (or cost). And I like that. So go make a pile of the clothes you don’t often wear and mix them with some of your favorite pieces. Skirts become dresses and dresses become skirts, graphic tees or mini dresses get tucked into high-waisted bottoms, business blazers go with ripped denim and heels, flowy blouses become undershirts, oversized shirts with skinnies or leggings…the list is endless. The best part is, there is no wrong way! 🙂

By the way, I love hats. Like, LOVE them! I think they are one of the best accessories (that and headbands) when it comes to pulling an outfit together. If you’re out shopping this weekend, buy a hat! And then wear it, no matter if you think you can pull it off or not, because chances are, the only one holding you back is…you!

This weekend I am getting baptized! I was baptized (sprinkled) as a baby and I was confirmed when I was…I think 13 or was it 14? Anyway, I want to be baptized the way Jesus was through immersion now that I am at an age where I can decide for myself that my life belongs to Him. My love will be partaking and helping the pastor to immerse me, and I am beyond happy to share this experience with him at my side and my family there supporting me!! I hope your weekend is just as memorable!
